What It Does

Inspired by Euuko’s Pirate Outpost mod, which introduces a couple of elements, I built my own base and took Euuko’s idea much further, making the entire galaxy a little more visually interesting in the process.

Basically this mod replaces various harvestor and factory installations with buildings and ships that look far more realistic in context and scale than the default structures (at least, in my opinion). With this mod you can travel around Tatooine, Naboo, or anywhere and see a much richer diversity of structures. Actual multi-story buildings and cargo ships in cities and towns!

I spent quite a while on this project, extracting and testing building and ship objects, examining which original objects are more or less likely to appear out in the game world, and choosing which replacement objects to use for each original so as to not have too many of THIS or too few of THAT in the world.

Here’s what becomes what:
High Efficiency Moisture Vaporator ==> YT-1300 with gear and ramp down
(Note: Extremely rare to see HEMVs out in the world, so you aren’t likely to see YTs everywhere).

Personal Chemical Extractor ==> Giant Orbital Canon Turret
(Note: Very few of these extractors typically deployed, but they’re cheap to obtain.)

Wearables Factor ==> Cargo Pod

Moisture Vaporator ==> X-Wing with gear down
(Note: fairly rare to see these vaporators out in the world)

Equipment Factory ==> 3-story square building
(Note: VERY common to see these around, which makes for a much more interesting world environment than default factories.)

Structure Factory ==> 3-story rectangular building
(Note: VERY common to see these around, which makes for a much more interesting world environment than default factories.)

Chemical Extractor ==> Trandoshan Slaver Ship with ramp and gear extended
(Note: These you see around from time to time, including inside Mos Eisley, Dantooine’s Mining Outpost, and other cities. It actually works very well seeing ships in a space port city [gasp! who would have thought of THAT?])

Personal Natural Gas Processor ==> Motor Pool/Garage you can actually drive or walk into.
(Note: fairly rare to see these out in the world as most people deploy larger gas processors.)

I’m working on Imperial Base and Rebel Base versions, too.
