I began playing SWG shortly after the giant, character-sized bacta tanks were no longer available. I ALWAYS wanted one, but couldn’t have it for less than 300 million credits. When I first learned how to access TREs, and began modding, the very first thing I did was find that giant bacta tank. Now I have bacta tanks in my Y-8, YT-1300, and bunker. Using my “Oola In Your House” mod, I even have a recuperating Twi’leck in some of the tanks.
This mod replaces the ubiquitous, unobtrusive, and cheap 6-sided Chance Cube die with a 2.5 meter tall animated bacta tank.
It’s great for roleplay, and, because the chance cube is so tiny, those without the mod rarely even notice the presence of the real object.
Version 1.00 (Released 28 October 2007)
- initial release
Before installing please exit SWG and Launchpad. Installing it while SWG is running will not harm the game, but you may not see the result of the mod until after exiting and restarting SWG.
This mod will put folders with some files in the game directory that will be used instead of the files in the game. No actual SWG game files will be overwritten.
This is a “client-side modification,” which means that only you will see a change while all other players continue to see the default object/appearance/whatever. This mod is not an exploit, and this mod does not violate the SOE Terms of Service for using Star Wars Galaxies. According to SOE you are allowed to mod the client side of SWG as long as your modifications do not affect other players’ experiences or provide you an unfair advantage. This mod will neither affect other players’ experiences nor alter your personal game play to provide you an unfair advantage over other players.
To share your new SWG experience with friends and guildies for roleplay, ask them to install this mod as well. Please don’t forward around the archive. Instead, please point friends and guildies to this page so they—and you—can stay up to date with the latest version of the mod as well as exciting other mods released by RailMagnor.com.
